With more than ten years at Franciscan Health, Alan “Al” Freeman brings a depth of experience and steady leadership to his role as Account Executive supporting employers throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding communities. He focuses on helping organizations design healthcare strategies that deliver quality, accessibility, and measurable value—ensuring employees stay healthy, productive, and engaged at work.

Al began his career on Franciscan’s Central Region business development team, where he discovered his passion for employer-based healthcare and the impact it can have on controlling costs while improving outcomes. He believes every organization deserves the ability to offer strong health benefits without unnecessary complexity or expense. His approach is grounded in collaboration and understanding—listening to each employer’s unique goals and then matching them with the right Franciscan solutions, rather than expecting employees to fit into a one-size-fits-all model.

Throughout his career, Al has been instrumental in developing innovative programs that bridge the gap between business goals and employee well-being. He is particularly proud of helping to design and implement cardiovascular health initiatives and redesigning on-site employer clinics into successful HEALTHeACCESS near-site programs that expanded access while improving efficiency. For Al, success is defined not just by metrics, but by trust—when an employer invites him to be part of the conversation about how best to care for their people, he knows the partnership is working.

A lifelong Hoosier, Al is proud to represent the Franciscan tradition of compassionate, whole-person care in Central Indiana. Outside of work, you’ll likely find him on a field or court coaching, refereeing, or cheering on youth sports in the community.
