Leslie Schroeder serves as an Account Executive for Franciscan WorkingWell and HEALTHeACCESS, supporting employers throughout Northern Indiana—specifically La Porte, Porter, and Starke counties. With more than a decade of experience in occupational health, Leslie combines deep industry knowledge with a genuine passion for helping employers create healthier, more resilient workforces. She joined Franciscan Health in 2023 and has quickly become a trusted partner to her clients across both the WorkingWell and HEALTHeACCESS programs.
Before joining Franciscan, Leslie spent ten years as an Account Executive for NWH Occupational Medicine, where she developed an extensive understanding of the complexities of employer-based healthcare and the importance of aligning programs with business needs. Her reputation for calm, thoughtful communication has earned her the nickname “the professional de-escalator.” She excels at turning high-stress or emotionally charged conversations into constructive solutions by listening, empathizing, and identifying practical next steps that benefit both employers and employees.
Leslie is known for her strategic and relationship-centered approach to client partnerships. She collaborates closely with brokers, HR teams, and leadership to ensure every occupational health or advanced primary care program is tailored to the unique needs of each organization. One of her proudest achievements was helping the City of La Porte transition to HEALTHeACCESS, a partnership built on long-standing community relationships that has since delivered measurable improvements in employee health engagement and access to care.
Beyond her professional success, Leslie takes great pride in being able to serve the same communities where she grew up. She’s an active member of multiple local chambers of commerce and has a long history of civic involvement, including volunteering with Habitat for Humanity (where she previously served on the board), the Boys & Girls Club of Porter County, and Reins of Life in Michigan City. She believes these connections not only strengthen her relationships with employers but also help ensure that Franciscan’s programs reflect the needs and values of the communities they serve.
Leslie is a passionate advocate for advanced primary care and whole-person wellness. She sees HEALTHeACCESS as a transformative model that provides affordable, meaningful access to healthcare for individuals and families who might otherwise go without. Her commitment to promoting wellness extends beyond the workplace, encouraging employees to take ownership of their health and inspiring younger generations to view preventive care as essential, not optional.
Outside of work, Leslie can often be found outdoors; whether hiking, boating, swimming, or exploring new places. She brings the same curiosity and energy to her personal life that she does to her professional one. A lifelong horse enthusiast, she spent much of her youth training and caring for racehorses, and once even appeared in a Bon Jovi music video. She also plays the trumpet and proudly shares that a childhood jingle she performed for a Fruit Roll-Ups commercial helped pay for her college education.
